RJ Week 2009 Resources Available

The theme for Restorative Justice Week 2009 is Communities Responding to Human Needs. Observed in Canada from 15 to 22 November 2009, Restorative Justice Week offers an opportunity to educate community members and different organizations about restorative justice and related issues. To facilitate commemoration efforts the Chaplaincy Branch of Correctional Services Canada (CSC) and the Church Council on Justice and Corrections created various resources including a poster, items for faith communities, and a training workshop. All the resources are available from both the CSC website and the CCJC website.
These include:
- Bilingual Poster highlighting the 2009 theme
- Bookmark with a description of restorative justice programmes and processes.
- Workshop outlines for training sessions for faith-communities
- Communities responding to human needs 2009
- Workshop on Restorative Justice for Faith Communities 2008
- Both Christian and Universal Prayers
- Listing of relevant Biblical passages
- Christian leaflet
Both organisations also offer a listing of events planned for the year. CSC provides an archive of Restorative Justice Week resources going back to 2005.
