One week left to sign up for Restorative Justice!

from the European Forum for Restorative Justice:
The deadline for the Forum's online petition to be submitted to the European Commission and the European Parliament has been postponed to 15 October!
Until now our (and of course your) action has resulted in 1700 signatures in a little over 3 months!
But we can do better!
If you have not yet signed the petition, please do as soon as possible. If you did we would like to thank you for your support and ask you to do all you can to get more signatures: invite your friends and family members to sign the online petition; email your politicians, academics, work colleagues, people well known in your countries for their support of justice issues and invite them to sign.
We need all possible support in order to achieve our goals, i.e.
- legislative and other initiatives to support a broader implementation of restorative justice in the Member States
- obtaining the necessary resources for the European Forum to continue working on the development of restorative justice.

It is good to see this posted. Thank you. Any opportunity to support restorative justice in the public square is a good thing. We need more opportunities to build grassroots support for systemic reform of a justice system that is broken. You do not have to be in Europe to sign this petition. I have signed it. <br /> <br />
