This book presents the case for restorative justice in both its theoretical and practical dimensions. Part One explores the root concepts underlying restorative justice, the history of its developments and reviews relevant literature. Part Two discusses fourth components of a restorative justice approach: encounter, amends, reintegration and inclusion. Part Three addresses challenges and opportunities concerning its implementation, including its adoption as a core part of the criminal justice system. The book is both a statement of restorative justice theory and practice and a guide for implementation of restorative policy.
