Restorative Justice Online is a service of the Centre for Justice & Reconciliation at Prison Fellowship International. Information on PFI can be found on the Prison Fellowship International Website.

The purpose of Restorative Justice Online is to be an authoritative, credible, non-partisan source of information on restorative justice.

The site is divided into sections for ease of use:

The Introduction section includes definitions, a brief overview, tutorial, slideshow presentations and a briefing paper about restorative justice, theory, programmes and practices.

The Resources section organizes the growing body of information about restorative justice. It includes sections devoted to programme creation, operation and evaluation; public policy; and theory. It features an overview of restorative justice use in every region of the world, stories of actual people who have experienced restorative processes, a growing collection of book reviews, and biographical information about some of the key leaders in the restorative justice movement. It also includes materials from a research and design project to consider how restorative justice might be applied to every crime, every victim, and every offender in a community.

The RJ Library is a searchable database of over 5,000 articles on restorative justice. Most articles have been abstracted, and a large number are available on the web or as full-text articles on Restorative Justice Online.

The Chapel contains articles and other resources exploring restorative justice from the Judeo-Christian tradition.

The Conferences section provides information and links concerning upcoming restorative justice conferences around the world.

The Web tour offers annotated links to restorative justice sites on the web. These are organized alphabetically and by subject.

In addition, Previous Editions contains each of the monthly e-newsletters published by Restorative Justice Online for the past five years.

Abbreviated versions of Restorative Justice Online are now available in Spanish and French.

The site is updated regularly. If you would like to receive an occasional email newsletter, please sign up.

The general editor of Restorative Justice Online is Dan Van Ness and the managing editor is Lynette Parker.
