Summary

Van Ness, Daniel W Opening our eyes to injustice. Washington, DC: Prison Fellowship International.

In this essay, Van Ness addresses the issue of recognizing injustice. God acts to overcome injustice. God wants his people to imitate him in overcoming injustice, including bringing freedom to those in captivity. Why do his people fail in this? The answer, according to Van Ness, is that they do not recognize injustice because they do not want to see it. Van Ness explores why this is the case. Then he examines three New Testament stories that can enable Godxe2x80x99s people to overcome their failure so they can recognize injustice and seek to rectify it.
