Over two days in September 1998, a number of experts gathered at Southern Illinois University School of Law to discuss juvenile justice issues. This particular panel discussion focused on community supervision of juveniles. Participants included a research scientist in juvenile justice, an attorney and associate professor in juvenile justice, a juvenile justice program professional, and others. The discussion covered a number of statistical and policy aspects of juvenile offending and corrections. The participants presented a broad range of options and points of view on ways to deal with juvenile offenders.
