Here Russ Immarigeon, editor of VOMA Connections, reflects on two thoughts that seem important from his perspective. The first has to do with the significant extent to which restorative justice has become a topic of interest and support on many levels of community life and governmental affairs over two decades of hard work by a lot of people and organizations. The second has to do with his conviction that a close relationship should exist between theoretical and empirical work – that is, between the ideas that are the content of many articles and books, and practical or practice-based work, about which too little is discussed and written.
