This paper sketches certain developments and findings with respect to restorative justice. According to Strang, restorative justice is a “third model of justice,â€? and as a world-wide social movement it is surging. As examples, she notes conferencing programs in New Zealand and in Canberra, Australia. In this regard, Strang summarizes research findings from such programs; the findings deal with how both victims and offenders feel after participation in a conference.
