Summary

Aertsen, Ivo (2000). Editorial Newsletter of the European Forum for Victim-Offender Mediation and Restorative Justice 2 (May): 1-2

In this editorial, Ivo Aertsen enumerates several ways in which the European Forum for Victim-Offender Mediation and Restorative Justice is developing a clear identity and direction. In addition to increasing the number of issues of its newsletter in a year -thus playing a larger role as an arena for discussion of many points of view concerning restorative justice models- the Forum will help to establish and develop victim-offender mediation and other restorative justice practices throughout Europe. Moreover, it will help to explore and define an alternative vision on crime and criminal justice, and it will seek to serve four target groups (mediators and mediation services; policy makers; researchers; and criminal justice practitioners).
