Building on his earlier work on restorative justice in everyday life, Ted Wachtel in this paper contrasts the current punitive-permissive continuum with a larger vision of restorative practices. This larger vision challenges many of the program models now being called ârestorative.â? In this regard, based on research results from individual-level analysis, he calls for measuring the aggregate effects of restorative practices in organizations and communities.
