The Youth Criminal Justice Act, which came into force on 1 April 2003, offers a new opportunity to revisit restorative justice principles and processes. Our challenge is to move restorative justice from the margins to tthe center of how we do justice in Canada. The Youth Criminal Justice Act offers hope and an opportunity to change our response to crime.
