Summary
-
Community justice has emerged as a social movement for justice reform. This approach empowers the community to prevent and resolve problems once thought to be the primary responsibility of the justice system. Community justice has captured the interest of a growing number of practitioners, academics, and policymakers for its promise to âdo justiceâ? differently and better, as well as its model for systemic, rather than simply programmatic, juvenile justice reform. It has the potential to become a profoundly influential social movement throughout the world in the 21st century. Author's abstract.
