Aertsen, Ivo and Beyens, Kristel (2004). Restorative Justice and the Morality of Law: A Reply to Brochu. In Erik Claes, René Foqué, and Tony Peters, eds., Punishment, Restorative Justice and the Morality of Law. Antwerp; Oxford: Intersentia. Pp. 101-118.

The second part of the paper focuses on how restorative and classical retributive principles in contemporary sentencing practice can be integrated. We will end with a brief outline of some proposals of Belgian sentencing reform which go in this direction. (excerpt).
