The goal of this chapter is to bridge between two literatures by applying a justice lens to the time-sequence model of mediation presented in chapter 2. To achieve this goal, I first sketch the development of the justice field. I will then apply a recently derived model of justice to the mediation model advanced by Herrman, Hollett and Gale that forms the centerpiece of this book. My hope is that readers of this chapter will come away with a more thorough understanding of how justice is conceived and a more thorough understanding of how justice informs the proposed time-sequence mediation model.
