The framework for understanding the role of 'reparations' for Native nations necessarily must be intercultural. It must account for the different historical experiences of Native nations with the Europeans that colonized these lands, and it must address Native epistemologies. There is no 'uniform' theory of reparations that fits all cultures, all nations, and all peoples.
