Presents the results of juvenile diversion of the Wagga Wagga model of juvenile cautioning conferences. There was a 75% reduction in the number of juvenile charged in 12 months of the program. The author suggests that the Wagga cautioning program has lead to a decline in the juvenile crime rate. Three case studies of the cautioning conferences are presented.
