Rohne, Holger-C. (2008). Opportunities and limits for applying restorative justice in the context of the Israeli - Palestinian conflict In Ivo Aertsen, Jana Arsovska, Holger-C. Rohne, Marta Valinas, and Kris Vanspauwen ed., Restoring Justice after Large-scale Violent Conflicts. Devon, UK: Willan Publishing. Pp. 279-319.

"The present chapter aims to contribute to this disucssion. On an empirical and comparative basis, it analyses the potential of various restorative justice elements in the context of the intifada. In the first part, some findings of a recent survey among intifada victims are presented. The survey explored attitudes of Palestinian and Israeli victims on how to respond to their victimisation (Rohne 2007). In the second part, the paper contrasts the empirical results with the findings from Chapters 9-11 and critically discusses the potential and challenges of restorative justice in the context of intifada violence. The respective parts follow the three-level model outlined in Chapter 1." (abstract)
