This booklet reports of the development and impact of two adult victim-offender mediation projects in Great Britain using common data collection instruments and analysis from two other countries. Participants in the study were from the Coventry Reparation Scheme and the Leeds Mediation and Reparation Service. Victims and offenders participating in mediation expressed greater satisfaction and perceptions of fairness than those who were referred by never participated. Other findings were reduced victim fear of revictimization by the same offender, and victims and offenders benefit more from face-to-face mediation than from indirect mediation. Results are compared with Canadian and U.S. studies.
