Restorative Justice Week Update

In response to the October feature on Restorative Justice Week, RJ Online has received additional information about how some countries will commemorate that week.

In Bulgaria, the Institute for Conflict Resolution has organized the following events:

 

November 13- A public lecture and video showing about restorative justice will take place at the South-Western University, Blagoevgrad.

 

November 16- Round table discussion on the benefits of restorative justice for academics, policy makers, and practitioners.

 

The Institute also plans to publish a newspaper article and organize radio and television interviews.

In the United States, plans have been finalized in different areas.

 

Colorado

 

November 13- Panel Discussion On Restorative Justice. Marriott Hotel, Fort Collins. 

 

November 14- Tom Cavanaugh will present: "Indigenous and Aborigine Sense of Wrongdoing: The Foundation of Restorative Justice". Unitarian Church of the Foothills, Fort Collins.

 

November 16- Jim Zion Community Dinner and Keynote Address. Fort Collins.

Maine

 

November 15- Restorative Justice Week Dinner. The Senator Inn. Augusta.  

Planning continues in South Dakota and Illinois.
