Practitioners and theoreticians of restorative justice have three new web based resources. Covering the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, these sites provide background information, discussion papers, and program descriptions.

Restorative Justice Knowledge Base.

The Youth Justice Board has commissioned the Restorative Justice Knowledge Base to support national reforms taking place in England and Wales.   This site is designed with practitioners in mind, and contains valuable information for anyone interested in the practice and growth of restorative justice. Topics include: explanation of restorative justice, glossary of terms, and legal support for the use of restorative justice. The site is continuously updated.

Friends Committee on Restorative Justice.

The Friends Committee on Restorative Justice supports transformation of criminal justice by applying the values of restorative justice. Their site not only explores the implications of restorative justice on the criminal justice system, but also considers its broader uses (for example, in schools). The site includes discussion papers, a case study, and educational resources.

Church Council on Justice and Corrections

The Church Council on Justice and Corrections has long been active in Canadian criminal justice policy discussions.  It has been one of the North American leaders in developing and promoting restorative justice principles.  This site provides many resources for the justice community, addressing current issues in Canada. Resources include statements for the press, explanations of different aspects of the justice system, and a forum for discussion.
