Over the last year, we have seen the continuing interest in restorative justice as programmes are implemented and more research is done. This includes the creation of a Handbook on Restorative Justice by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, activities from Latin America to Eastern Europe to the Pacific and the release of various studies about the effectiveness of restorative programmes.
