In Portugal, the DIKÊ project consists of the Protection and Promotion of Victims’ Rights under the Framework Decision regarding the Standing of Victims within Criminal Proceedings. APAV, the Portuguese Association for Victim Support, is the promoter of the DIKÊ project. The project is co-financed by the European Commission under the GROTIUS II Programme. In this article João Lazáro and Frederico Marques report on the specific objectives of this one-year program which is intended to promote the development and strengthening of knowledge on specific measures concerning the protection of victims’ rights.
