Website of the Month: Fraser Region Community Justice Initiatives Association

The Fraser Region Community Justice Initiatives Association (CJI) is a non-profit organization with over 20 years of experience with conflict resolution in various settings including criminal justice. According to the website, the CJI’s missions is “To foster peacemaking and the resolution of conflict in the community through the development and application of Restorative Justice values, principles and processes." This website provides information about the organizations programmes, training services, and upcoming events.

The home page provides a brief description of the organization including the mission, vision and values statement. It also provides links to annual reports from 2002 to 2004 and contact information.

News is a listing of events organized by the organization including training sessions.

Training  offers a listing of training course being offered. Topics include basic victim offender mediation and restorative justice in schools. The page also provides information about the staff trainers, customized training packages, the Serious and Violent Crime programme, and training materials.

Programs gives descriptions of the different programmes offered by CJI. These include:

  • Educating for peacebuilding
  • Restorative Community Service
  • Victim Offender Mediation Program
