The Longmont Community Justice Parntership seeks a case coordinator for its community restorative justice programme.

General Position Description

The case coordinator is a full-time position, responsible for coordinating restorative justice processes for LCJP’s Community Restorative Justice Program. In addition to on the job training, this person will be trained as a restorative justice facilitator. Some facilitation required. Additional training may be involved. Flexible hours are required including somenights and weekends. Lifting up to 50lbs may be required.

  • Education: College degree preferred
  • Language: Bilingual Spanish/English required
  • Experience: Two years experience with restorative justice or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • Commitment: Minimum one year
 
Qualifications
  • Appreciation of restorative principles; Ability to work and make decisions 
    independently with minimal supervision; 
  • Well organized and detail 
    oriented; 
  • Strong work ethic; 
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective 
    working relationships with diverse population including youth and adult 
    volunteers, peers, supervisors, representatives of cooperating agencies, 
    police officers, victims, offenders and the general public; 
  • Working 
    knowledge of PC computers including MS Office & ACCESS applications;
  •  
    Ability to deal with information in a confidential manner; 
  • Excellent written 
    & verbal communication in English and Spanish required; 
  • Capable of 
    effectively speaking on the phone and in front of groups; 
  • Community-minded 
    and knowledgeable of Longmont and its youth-serving agencies.
