Director of Curriculum & Instruction, Chicago Public Schools – Office of School Turnaround, USA.
The Director of Curriculum & Instruction will work closely with school teaching department leaders at Turnaround schools and the Office of School Turnaround (OST) Team to manage all aspects of curriculum, implementation and assessment. Principal Accountabilities Promote a widely shared institutional belief that every child deserves and can have expert instruction and that all team members must be advocates for students.
Viable candidates for the Curriculum & Instruction vacancy will have mastered the following prior to application:
- Knowledge of current education policy trends
- Proven experience leading urban high schools to higher test scores
- Extensive knowledge of interim assessment systems
- Success with professional development design and delivery to help teachers raise test scores using data
- A belief that every student can learn to high levels
