The North Somerset Council seeks a Restorative Justice and Supervision Manager.
North Somerset Youth Offending and Prevention Service (YOS) is a successful outworking of the local partnership between North Somerset Council, Police, Probation, Health, Connexions and other partners. A range of projects deliver early prevention programmes and statutory interventions to young people, carers, and families; and services to victims. If you have the skills and experience to apply we would be pleased to hear from you. The brief of this post has been modified to reflect current service priorities and demands, and to enhance effective delivery of services. Quality assuring work undertaken is a priority.
The successful applicant will be required to:
- Manage case holders supervising a range of cases e.g. final warning programmes and referral orders; and case hold a few high risk cases
- Manage, coordinate and develop Youth Offender Panels and reparation projects
- Train and supervise volunteers e.g. Panel and victim contact volunteers, and appropriate adult workers
- Coordinate programmes across the YOS
- Develop and risk manage reparation projects
- Operate as part of the YOS management team with the shared ownership this entails
