Asia

In Asia, interest in restorative justice has been particularly focused on juvenile justice, on regularizing indigenous practices, and on peacemaking and reconciliation in divided societies.

Juvenile Justice

Restorative practices, especially conferencing, are being used to divert juvenile offenders from court processes.

Traditional Practices

Peacemaking

Some Asian countries are deeply divided, peacemaking practices – both those introduced as a part of the restorative justice movement and indigenous practices are being proposed as a road to healing.
