AIC Restorative Justice in Australia

The Australian Institute of Criminology is the national focus for the study of crime and criminal justice in Australia and for the dissemination of criminal justice information. The Institute draws on information supplied to it by a wide variety of sources and its policy advice is objective and independent. It contains papers, links and bibliography, particularly with an Australian emphasis but good coverage of other parts of the world as well.

Center for Restorative Justice and Peacemaking

The Center for Restorative Justice & Peacemaking provides resources, training, papers, links and bibliography relating to restorative justice and victim offender mediation. Its Executive Director is Dr. Mark Umbreit, a researcher and pioneer in victim offender mediation. It is a part of the School of Social Work and the College of Human Ecology at the University of Minnesota.

Centre For Restorative Justice, Australian National University

The Centre for Restorative Justice undertakes high quality theoretical and empirical research on various aspects of this rapidly growing field. Its mission is to ensure that the Australian National University remains a world leader in restorative justice scholarship and a leading trainer of doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows in the field.

The Centre for Restorative Justice at Simon Fraser University provides a focal point for faculty, students and members of the community to explore a broad range of restorative justice issues. The Centre maintains facilities, materials, services, personnel and other resources dedicated to the study, teaching and practice of restorative justice

Conflict Research Consortium

The Conflict Research Consortium at the University of Colorado is a joint university-community program that unites researchers, educators, and practitioners from many fields for the purposes of theory-building, testing, disseminating, and applying new management techniques to address difficult, long-term, and intractable conflicts.

INCORE

INCORE aims to address the management and resolution of conflict via a combination of research, training, and other activities which inform and influence national and international organisations working in the field of conflict. Includes thematic resource pages on Restorative Justice, Truth and Reconciliation Commission, and Mediation.

North Carolina Family Group Conferencing Project

This project, conducted by a training and evaluation team from NC State University’s Social Work Program, uses Family Group Conferencing to develop partnerships among families, neighbors, community members and leaders, and public agencies that protect, nurture, and safeguard children and other family members by building on the strengths of the family and their community.

RESTORE Program

A programme of the University of Arizona MEZA College of Public Health, RESTORE offers alternatives to survivors of sexual assault and those committing such offenses.

Restorative Justice Project

Restorative Justice Project (RJP) is a program of the Center for Peacemaking and Conflict Studies (PACS) at Fresno Pacific University. It serves as a resource and training center. The site contains papers, bibliography and information about project events.

Restorative Justice Project of the Frank J. Remington Center

The Remington Center’s Restorative Justice Project offers law students an opportunity to work outside of the adversarial processes which characterize most of the criminal justice system. The project gives students the opportunity to practice mediation skills and assess the effectiveness of an alternative dispute resolution process in the criminal justice field.
